Milton Keynes College Group is thrilled to announce its next Open Event, taking place on Tuesday, 18th March 2025, from 5pm to 7pm. This event offers an excellent opportunity for employers looking to recruit apprentices into their organisation to engage with the College's initiatives and explore how to futureproof their workforce through innovative training and partnership opportunities.
Celebrating Key Achievements
In September 2024, the College welcomed 241 new apprentices, enrolling them across its Engineering, Construction, Digital, and Business Skills qualifications. These apprentices are already thriving, with notable successes in their respective fields, showcasing the strength and quality of Milton Keynes College’s Apprenticeships.
Introducing the Green Skills Centre
The new Green Skills Centre, recently launched by MK College Group, is paving the way for sustainable development and environmental innovation in the region. This state-of-the-art facility provides hands-on training in advanced green technologies, including solar installations, energy efficiency systems, air source heat pumps, and electric vehicle charging point installations. With a commitment to growing the green economy, the Centre is set to accommodate an additional 40 students annually, expanding its curriculum to meet the needs of both learners and employers.
Supporting Employers
The Employer Engagement Team plays a vital role in collaborating with local businesses to drive economic growth and prosperity in Milton Keynes. Offering expert advice and bespoke training solutions, the team supports businesses in workforce development through apprenticeships and professional development programmes. Additionally, businesses can partner with the College by offering industry placements, work experience, delivering guest talks, or providing live projects for students.
