    As an independent organisation, funded through member subscriptions, MKBLP works to identify and develop interests specific to the business community in the city.
    Our aim is to impact change as MK develops and grows by utilising proven senior leadership qualities from across the membership. Member feedback provides a catalyst to enable us to work with other partners to help business thrive & prosper.
  • Community Action MK
    Community Action MK aims to explore what we can do individually and collectively to support and facilitate the representation of the voluntary and community sector to various groups and agencies operating across the area and in specific localities.
  • Community Foundation
    The MK Community Foundation is an independent charity working for and at the heart of Milton Keynes. We connect people and resources to projects and ideas to create positive change and long term solutions for our communities.
  • Cranfield University
    Cranfield’s mission to transform knowledge into ingenious solutions in science, technology and management places us at the forefront of some of the world’s most practical, cutting-edge projects. From unique cabin evacuation research to finding life on Mars, from a frost blanket for racecourses to zero-emission cars, and from the next generation of anti-landmine devices to a new blood glucose monitor, Cranfield’s focus is squarely on the application of its research.
  • Destination MK
    Destination Milton Keynes (DMK) has provided the city and surrounding area with another first – the first independently-operated tourist information service in the UK. The organisation is the tourism association for Milton Keynes. DMK is also the provider of key tourist services to help promote and develop Milton Keynes as a destination for business or leisure.
  • Federation of Small Businesses
    The Federation of Small Businesses is the UK's largest campaigning pressure group promoting and protecting the interests of the self-employed and owners of small firms. Formed in 1974, it now has 200,000 members across 33 regions and 194 branches.
  • Institute of Directors
    At the Institute of Directors, we have been supporting businesses and the people who run them since 1903. As the UK’s longest running organisation for professional leaders, we are dedicated to supporting our 38,000 members, encouraging entrepreneurial activity and promoting responsible business practice for the benefit of the business community and society as a whole.
  • Manufacturing Advisory Service
    MAS (Manufacturing Advisory Service) is funded by BIS (Department for Business, Innovation and Skills). We provide manufacturing business support for companies based in England, helping them to improve and grow.
    MAS is designed to help you, the manufacturer, streamline your processes, reduce waste, become more energy efficient and generally improve and grow your business.
  • Milton Keynes Business Resilience Forum
    The Milton Keynes Business Resilience Forum (MKBRF) is a not-for-profit Forum, founded by Milton Keynes Council as part of its commitment to local organisations under the Civil Contingencies Act. The Forum is run by a Lead Team of volunteers who are passionate about increasing the resilience of businesses and voluntary organisations in the Milton Keynes area. MKBRF provides a support network for any member organisation who wants to improve their resilience by attending MKBRF run exercises, presentations, case studies, networking and discussion groups, taking part in an active LinkedIn group and one to one learning through the free mentoring scheme. MKBRF are currently shortlisted for Best Contribution to Continuity and Resilience at the 2013 Business Continuity Awards.
  • Milton Keynes City Centre Management
    Milton Keynes City Centre Management (MKCCM) is an independent not-for profit members’ organisation, previously known as ‘Central Milton Keynes Partnership’; our activities date back to the mid 1990s. We are funded by membership contributions bringing together key stakeholder with an interest in Central Milton Keynes. Our purpose is to ensure the continual improvement of Central Milton Keynes by identifying, problems and opportunities that affect life and work in the City Centre.

    Milton Keynes College vision is that the college will be at the heart of a connected and inclusive learning community. They will drive new models and partnerships to create an education landscape where there are no boundaries to limit access, progess and success. They will be a catalyst for economic prosperity and wellbeing.
  • Milton Keynes Council
    Milton Keynes Council is working to deliver the best possible future for people and businesses in Milton Keynes by creating sustainable communities and opportunities for all. Its vision is to ensure Milton Keynes is the premier ‘can do’ place of the 21st century; unique and special, and a great place to live, work, visit and do business.
  • Open to Export
    Open to Export is a community-based forum for the provision and exchange of useful information on exporting from the UK. Content and dialogue is contributed by the user community itself and covers a broad spectrum of subjects from markets to sectors to distribution. The aim of the website is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and advice between the community to encourage and support export activity. Registered access and usage is totally free of charge.
  • Open University
    The Open University is a world leader in modern distance learning, the pioneer of teaching and learning methods which enable people to achieve their career and life goals studying at times and in places to suit them.
  • South East Midlands Local Economic Partnership
    Semlep is the economic development partnership, operated jointly by the private and public sectors in the area, to promote the South East Midlands as a prime growth location for business, investors and visitors. The company was set up in May 2011. It is one of 39 Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) in England established by the Coalition Government to play a central role in determining local economic priorities and to undertake activities that drive economic growth and the creation of local jobs.
  • The Parks Trust
    The Parks Trust is the independent charity that owns and cares for many of Milton Keynes parks and green spaces. This adds up to 5,000 acres of river valleys, woodlands, lakesides, parks and landscaped areas alongside the main roads – about 25 percent of the new city area.
  • UCMK
    UCMK is the new University campus for Milton Keynes backed by the University of Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes Council. UCMK is the newest addition to the vibrant, wider University of Bedfordshire population of 24000 students from around the world.
  • UK Trade & Investment
    UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) works with UK-based businesses to ensure their success in international markets, and encourage the best overseas companies to look to the UK as their global partner of choice.UKTI has a customer commitment to helping its UK and international customers by providing a range of services, to a high standard and improve customer service by listening to customer feedback. We also have a co-ordination role across government to establish a more systematic approach to relationships with companies which are the most economically significant investors and exporters.
